At this moment Amsterdam is working hard on the new part of the subway. This "Noord-Zuidlijn" (a track from the North to the South of Amsterdam) will be under the center of the city, and causes a lot of constructionwork in the old center. Also the Central Station will be part of this reconstruction.
Amsterdam has a lot of parking places outside the city.
Inside the center of Amsterdam parking is possible, but expensive (up to 5 Euro p/h). Parking just ouside the center is also a good option. Follow the signs with P+R at the A10.
